​Christopher ‘BabyC’ Mayers is certainly a well-rounded individual. The versatile artiste can sing, dance, play several instruments and produce music. The young musician has been involved in the music industry from childhood, growing and gaining knowledge and experience in all facets of the industry.
 

​At a very young age, he began singing with his younger brother, Julian even playing the drums during his church’s Sunday school classes. He became a member of a local singing group called ‘The Kross Club’, being the group’s main and only drummer. Further to that, Mayers, Andrel Blake, the lead singer of ‘The Kross Club’ and Julian formed a group called ‘Dramatic Dance Crew ‘(D.C.C), a singing and dancing group. Together, they performed at several churches and concerts and won the Youth For Christ lip-sync competition in the 2000. Their mission was to spread the word of God via their ministry.
 

​Because of his love for music, he developed a keen interest in music production and made it his hobby while still at school. He then engaged in various training programmes that would assist him in perfecting his skills as a musician, such as sound engineering, music production and by extension radio broadcasting. Soon after, a career path in music production followed.
 

​His skills gained the attention of Gospel singer and veteran in the music industry, Sherwin Gardner and Gardner asked Mayers to join his team as a sound engineer. While there, he assisted in the completion of productions for various artistes such as Royal Priesthood, Shiselon, Vanessa Briggs, Spiritual Ninja and Sherwin Gardner. He spent two years working with Gardner, learning and gaining more experience with music production, continuously flexing his creative muscles. At times, he would perform alongside Sherwin Gardner and the Flow Masters as a dancer, later using dance to minister to youths at several schools.
 

​Currently, Mayers manages his own record label, Righteous Records Entertainment, located in Sangre Grande. He continues the aim to contribute to the production of top-notch quality gospel music in Trinidad and Tobago. Mayers said “Our ultimate goal is to glorify and represent Jesus Christ to the fullest, with no hesitation, through music and lifestyle.”
